Vaccinator Portraits published in National Geographic
A real privilege to see my vaccinator portraits featured on the homepage of National Geographic last week.
I returned to my project for The Guardian, this time photographing the volunteers behind the vaccination effort. To get access I teamed up with the brilliant and tireless staff of St John Ambulance who lined up 10 of their 27000 volunteers. I went on a whistle stop tour of England, meeting inspirational folk from all walks of life.
From olympic champions, minibus drivers, Oxford University professors and retired army officers... these are the "ordinary" people helping us get back to normal.
