Matt Davis is a portrait photographer, shooting across the UK and worldwide. He was a banker, once upon a time, and he was also a teacher in Japan, a holidaymaker in Iran and a heavyweight kickboxer.
It's this mixture of curiosity and wanderlust that set him on the path to photography in the first place. He got his break when he entered two images into a strictly professional competition as a rank amateur. Both were selected and he quickly resigned from the bank to start shooting. 10 very short years later he shoots portraits for ad and design agencies and his work is represented in a gallery alongside some of the industry's leading lights, including Terry O'Neil.
He's now a Dad in constant fear of being wrestled to the ground by his toddler son, or told off by his daughter. He still enters the awards and tends to do pretty well, including over 20 from The AOP. And he still has an innate curiosity and incurable love of photography.
